Tour Plan

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha at 08:00 am and drive for 120 km on a tarmac road to Tarangire National Park (2,850 sq. km) for game drives. The park has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. The swamps are tinged green all year round and are home to 550 bird species, the most found in one habitat anywhere in the world. After lunch, continue with afternoon game viewing in the park which is home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, python, zebra, oryx, impala, and more. On drier ground, you will find the kori bustard (the heaviest flying bird), the stocking-thighed ostrich (the world’s largest bird), and small parties of ground hornbills blustering like turkeys. More ardent bird-lovers might keep an eye open for screeching flocks of the dazzlingly colorful yellow-collared lovebirds, the somewhat drabber rufous-tailed weaver and ashy starling. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Maramboi Tented Lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire and drive through the cooler highland region towards

Serengeti National Park. This world-renowned park with its diverse landscape, ranging from grass plains, dry savannah to marshy woodlands, is the stomping ground of many carnivorous predators and their prey. The park is home to the largest animal migration in the world and depending on the season, you will be able to witness this spectacular event unfold. The location of the migrating herds is dependent on the yearly rainfall, but your guide will know the best vantage points for wildlife viewing. You will spend the night at a Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Today you have a full a day game viewing in Serengeti National Park, you may opt to spend the day for full day or return to lodge for hot lunch and go out again. All meals will be provided. Serengeti Serena Lodge.

Rise and Shine! A beautiful morning in Serengeti with another chance to explore this extraordinary park, you will have relaxed breakfast, followed by check out at your camp or lodge. You will have an en route game viewing as this mark the last day in Serengeti on the way to the gate. Once you enter the Ngorongoro side you may opt to visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum or once among the authentic Maasai Boma found along the area. You will overnight at Karatu town Ngorongoro Farm House on Full Board Basis.

You'll wake up early for breakfast and then drive to Ngorongoro Crater at 07:00 am. Here, you will descend onto the crater floor (19.2 km in diameter, 610 m deep, 304 sq. km) for game drives. All of the “Big Five” (rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant), along with many more mammals, live in this wonderful caldera. Birds found here include flamingos on the soda lake, geese, storks, vultures, and more. We will take a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok Spring picnic site. Ngorongoro Crater is often called “Africa's Eden” or the “8th Natural Wonder of the World.” It is a massive extinct volcano, with its towering tree-lined walls dropping thousands of feet to a "Noah's Ark" of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs, and a large soda lake. After lunch, enjoy some additional game viewing while ascending the crater. Later, you will drive to Arusha for overnight. (Accommodation in Arusha can be booked at extra cost)

My 1st Safari Joseph catered to our needs & made sure we were safe at all times. Our lunch breaks out in the bush was luxurious..He set up a table with chairs, table cloth..real plates & silverware..he also made sure we had the drinks of our choice..the food was delicious & plentiful. It was my first safari & he took care to make sure we saw over 25 different animals. We also visited the Messiah tribe which was the best part of the trip for me amazing..they dressed us in their garments & allowed us to participate in one of their traditional activities.

Best guides The world's heart beats in Tansania. And we've had the chance to hear and see and feel it in nature, animals and people. These experiences has been made possible by our excellent guides Benjamin, Gera and, we love the most, Joseph. Warm conversations, honest laughter and high driver-seeker-finder abilities made us like a family. We really believe: We were lucky to book Red and Yellow Barbet Safaris! Asante sana - tutaonana baadaye :)

unforgettable days in tanzanias nature!!!! It was an amazing expierence with all the animals we saw and the very nice and lovable guides! All kinds of preditors and other animals were often so near to our jeep that we even could have touched them, because the guides always found every single animal in the area we were, even if they were hidden. The guides(we’ve had Joseph, Gera and Benjamin) also knew the answers to all our questions we had and explained it cleary with a very good english. The Lodges we have been to were also awesome with their excellent food and very nice people. We‘ve seen so much in only ten days of Safari. It was the best Safari I‘ve ever had!

Best, knowledgeable tour guide ever! My favorite part of my experience was the coffee plantation and Kilimanjaro. Joseph arranged for a local guy to take us up the mountain. We pounded, roasted and did authentic dancing for A coffee ceremony. We drank the coffee we roasted, and were served an authentic African meal. Wow this was a highlight, Joseph is a consummate professional. He was always early to pick us up. We visited local markets and restaurants in of Arusha. He made sure we were always safe, cared for and helped us understand the rate of exchange for our US dollars. By the time our vacation was over, we had become family.
